Transformative Mindfulness telecourses to deepen compassion and healing
The Transformative Mindfulness programme offers self-healing methods that start with generating awareness and acceptance of challenges and physical challenges, getting to the underlying mental causes that contribute to them directly and then transforming them simply and compassionately. They offer the potential for deep understanding of the interdependence of the psychological causes and conditions that create health and happiness as well as contribute to pain, illness or challenges. Accessing these, in turn, make profound changes possible. Lama Zopa Rinpoche has commented that the programme “uses bodhicitta and lojong (altruism, wisdom and compassion) so it has great benefit”.
Dekyi-Lee Oldershaw has been pioneering these methods for over 20 years with parents, youth, adults and professionals. Thanks to new technology, this year saw long-time mindfulness students and others interested in the healing power of the mind come together over the phone from seven countries in the first Discovering Transformative Mindfulness for Self-Healing (Level 1) Telecourses and Deepening Self-Practice Telecourse (Level 2). These telecourses will also be offered during 2012, alongside a series of Level 3 Certified Practitioner Training modules for those who want to help others using these methods.
“A wonderful way to effectively confront and transform challenges." Nikolas Knub, Denmark
"Experiencing the personal shifting has been quite amazing, and its everyday-life use is better than cash. The techniques were so easy that they seemed like magic. For any moment, reason, challenge, view or problem that brings negativity, you can apply them with instant results. At the same time it was like watching the dharma teachings take life, making internal sense, a sensation of understanding having gone much deeper.” Ale Almada, Argentina
"I realized that complete healing is possible. Each second of this introduction course has been very deeply touching, transformative, self-compassionate." Mirjana Ogrin, Slovenia
Transformative Mindfulness was introduced at the University of Florence, Italy in a Master’s programme for medical professionals as well as clinical research with acute migraines that will be completed in the fall of 2012.
These methods can easily be introduced in different languages. For example Mirjana Ogrin hosted an inaugural evening of Transforming Problems at Chagna Pemo Study Group in Sloveniabringing in both Dekyi-Lee and translator Danijela Stamatovic on Skype.
On the first day of each month, join The Great Global Shift Transformative Telesession with Dekyi-Lee, a free meditation to deepen altruism, understanding and healing by focusing on a global issue you feel passionate about.

One of the causes of many of our problems can be found in the mind, as a reaction to a past experience or a confused attitude. These lend themselves to sickness later. Once we allow this to change, healing can often take place and we know what we need to do next.
There are different levels of healing. The further back in the causal chain of events we can address a problem, the more powerful the healing can be. The physical manifestation of the problem – the symptom – is addressed by your doctors. But if it is only treated at the physical level, then the patients’ improvement is less than it could be and the illness is more likely to recur, either in the same form or in a different one. - Dr. Dean Ornish
It is up to you – your mind. And you can do this easily, gently and at home. Many people from around the world have used these simple Transformative Mindfulness visualizations, meditations and exercises to change their response and experience of symptoms with everything from simple headaches and migraines to terminally diagnosed illness. They have transformed the pain of losing a relationship or loved one and have used it to finding clarity at a time of crossroads in their lives. Anyone who can imagine the location of their next holiday can use the same inner ability of visualization to benefit from these exercises.
So try one of the main exercises - more than once! We want anyone, anywhere, with any problem to lessen their suffering and become more accepting, happier and lighter now. That is why you can print this for free, to use for yourself or to help others. If you prefer to relax and experience these, you can also order an audio download our exercises and meditations here.
